The ShishwaLab Text Diff Checker compares two texts line by line using a local longest-common-subsequence approach, with a faster approximate scan for very large inputs.
Use it for config tweaks, copy edits, prompt revisions, and quick code snippet reviews without sending content to a server.
Diffing runs in your browser. Your texts are not uploaded to ShishwaLab servers.
Tips for better results
- Normalize line endings beforehand if one side comes from Windows and the other from Unix.
- Whitespace-only changes still count as different lines—trim if you want to ignore them.
- Very large documents may use an approximate line scan to stay responsive.
- Pair with Hash Generator when you only need to know whether two blobs differ.
