About this tool
This converter turns a header-row CSV into a JSON array of objects, and turns a JSON array of objects or arrays back into CSV.
Quoted fields, commas inside quotes, and escaped quotes are preserved on the way in. The reverse path quotes any cell that contains a comma, quote, or line break.
Paste stays in your browser, which is useful for customer lists, exports, and drafts you do not want to send to a remote converter.
Tips for better results
- The first CSV row is treated as column names. Later rows become objects using those names.
- For JSON to CSV, use an array of objects with consistent keys, or an array of arrays where the first row is the header.
- Empty lines are skipped. A trailing newline does not create an extra object.
- Very large files can slow the tab. Split multi-megabyte exports before converting.
How to use
- 1 Choose CSV to JSON or JSON to CSV.
- 2 Paste your data or drop a text file.
- 3 Convert, then copy or download the result.
FAQ
Does it support quoted commas?
Yes. A comma inside double quotes stays inside the field.
What JSON shape becomes CSV?
An array of objects, or an array of arrays. A single object is wrapped as one row.
Is my spreadsheet uploaded?
No. Parsing and conversion happen in the browser.
Can I download the result?
Yes. Download a .json or .csv file after converting.
What if a row has fewer columns?
Missing cells become empty strings in JSON.
Does it detect a delimiter other than comma?
This tool uses commas. Convert semicolons to commas before pasting if your export uses them.
